Buy and Sell Online

Thanks to great selling platforms like eBay and Etsy, it makes selling things online much easier these days. You can do it all from the convenience of your smartphone or desktop computer. You can sell anything online: from things you have made to items you cleared out of your garage and basement.

It’s a great way of testing the water for a potential at-home business. It is as simple as taking a photograph of the item you want to sell, describing it in detail, and uploading it onto the site. Once the item sells, you just need to mail it to the buyer.

Another thing to consider would be hunting out bargains online or in thrift shops and garage sales and then selling these on for a profit.

Many moms take advantage of things like this as they are often out in the local area and can obtain these bargains. Doing research online and sticking with things you like is a great place to start when it comes to buying and selling things.

Become a Freelancer

Freelancing is a great way to earn money from home. Some people do this exclusively now, offering a great home and work-life balance, especially with a young family.

Other options include transcribing an audio file or creating documents for various companies. There are many different options available to you.

Upcycle Pieces of Furniture and Older Items

You could take the buying and selling thing one step further and consider upcycling some furniture. Some bloggers can make a lot of money. However, this takes a lot of time, patience, and a little luck. So don’t expect to earn from your blog straightaway.

This is where running social media accounts could form part of your at-home business plan. Some companies pay a lot of money for a great digital social media person. The beauty is that you can continue to do it from home. Thanks to scheduling tools, you don’t need to be glued to the computer screen every minute of the day.
