About Me
I have always been “into” personal finance but I got inspired to start my blog after I was in a period of extended unemployment. That experience changed the way I viewed our relationship with money and the importance of accessible personal finance education.
When I was unemployed, I found that a lot of the information and content that I was looking for wasn’t readily available. I didn’t feel that anybody was talking to me and understood my situation and circumstances. So I decided to write it myself!
My views and blog have evolved over the past three years, but the main principles have remained the same.
I speak specifically to low-income people who are not looking to get rich or retire early. I am not trying to preach anything- I am just sharing my experiences and ideas, and hope that someone out there can relate to my content. My blog isn’t necessarily about working towards a goal. It is for people who aren’t “obsessed” with personal finance or making money- but just want to have their finances in order so they can live the life they want to live.
I am poor and I am not ashamed to admit it. I want to share my own experiences, the systems that I follow, and the advice that I think will be beneficial for you. I am debt-free and hope to remain that way as I try to live within my means, raise my kids, and save for the future. My goal? I want to have enough financial security to be able to live my life the way I want to.
I practice what I preach, and I hope you can learn from this site and gain the financial security you crave! You want to enjoy the money you worked hard for. You have to pay some bills. You have some big expenses coming up. You have some small expenses coming up next month. You also want to do something for the future.
I have many ideas for raising your kids and creating a happy home on a very tight budget. Follow me for all my ideas, hacks, and tricks!
