Some people commended him for being frugal, while others thought his actions were too embarrassing to save little money on the purchase.

Mandov says that this action was more embarrassing than if he had stolen the banana, “I’d be less embarrassed if he stole it.”

Pico is not impressed and insists that the man stole from the store, “It’s theft lol. The peel is part of the weighted price. Not thrifty, just stealing.” Another user supported him, saying, “The store-bought it with the peel and is selling it with the peel?”

Several other users thought that the action bordered on being illegal. Rammo said, “Nah, that gotta be illegal.” FoqFrugt agreed, saying, “That would be illegal.”
