What is keeping Americans up at night? A recent study showed that the most common nightmare for Americans showed that Being chased and falling from a height are the two most common nightmare themes. Being shot follows closely behind that.
The Study

SlotsMove examined the most common nightmares experienced by Americans.
SlotsMove contacted 1,310 respondents and provided them with a list of 15 possible nightmare themes. Participants were allowed to give as many answers as they liked and had the option to make additional comments.
Sleep

Getting quality sleep is a problem for many Americans. In our modern-day world, where work can find us at all hours, where we hold computers in our hands and have access to 24-hour streaming, it is easy to get distracted and put off those much-needed ZZZs each night.
The Findings

– Being chased and falling from a height are the two most common nightmare themes, quoted by 65.3% and 64.7% of the respondents, respectively
– Nearly 55% said they had had a bad dream about getting shot
– Nightmares about natural disasters were confirmed by 51.4% of the survey respondents, while 46.1% said they sometimes dream about feeling lost

51.4% of Americans had a nightmare about tornadoes or Hurricanes.
