Recently someone asked if there were any TV shows that “everyone” seems to be talking about but you just couldn’t get past the first episode and the comments did not disappoint! From cult classics to acclaimed shows, there is no accounting for taste and some people just couldn’t get into these shows.

Game of Thrones

One person wrote, “Game of Thrones, too many characters, and there was no reason to identify with or care about any of them.”

Another added, “Same here, although it’s really because I just don’t care for the genre and only tried it because everyone was raving about it… wondering if I should give it a second chance, though.”

Grey’s Anatomy

One of the longest-running TV Shows certainly has people talking about it! Someone wrote “Grey’s Anatomy. House MD is one of my favorite TV shows of all time and I have never watched Grey’s so a few months ago I went on Netflix and watched the first episode and really did not care for it… Also, did some research and found if I was going to watch more, to stop after season 10.”

Bridgerton

Someone wrote, “Bridgerton. I tried on multiple occasions, and I just couldn’t get into it.” another added, “Me too! It didn’t hold my attention at all.”

Yellowstone

Someone wrote, “It’s just a soap opera on a ranch. The daughter character is also one of the worst written characters I’ve seen. She’s supposed to be tough ( “I can hang with the ranch hands”) and intimidating. She just comes off like a rich drunk who if you saw her at a bar you’d be like, “yup that’s Brenda. Been here since 11am drinking wine and picking fights with random people. We don’t take her serious.”

Wednesday

One person commented, “Wednesday. I have no idea why people are so hype on it and that dance scene. The most I managed to get to was episode 5 after one month of watching episode 4.”

You

“It was just soo creepy,” one person wrote. Another added, “Yep, same here – watched one episode and was definitely wondering why anyone wants to watch more of that crazy stalker creep.”

Tiger King

“Tiger King. Two episodes in we quit,” one person wrote.

Another replied, “I think if I tried to watch it now I would totally agree. It was the perfect mindless nonsense to escape from full time WFH with small kids at home.”

Stranger Things

“I couldn’t really get into stranger things :(” one person admitted. Someone else added, “Stranger Things just felt gimmicky to me, as a horror movie fan, there isn’t a single plot point that wasn’t directly recycled from another horror/sci-fi film or series. Just so unoriginal in every way.”

The Night Agent

Someone wrote about The Night Agent, “impressively uninventive. Every character is a stereotype, and every plot point has been done many times before and better. I heard someone say it’s if an algorithm created a popular show for the genre, and I honestly think that’s what happened (despite how unlikely).”

Ozark

“Ozark. Snoozefest,” one person wrote.

Someone wrote, “I tried to watch it, I only made it 15 or 20 minutes in before I was done. Heard great things, and so many friends told me it was good.”

Succession

“Succession. I expect I’m not the first to say so. What a bunch of bellends,” someone wrote. Another added, “I made it through half an episode of Succession. All the characters were so unredeemingly terrible.”
