I love the idea of Mason Jar dessert recipes. They look so cute, and they are so easy to make and clean up.
So what is a Mason Jar Recipe?
A Mason Jar is a specific type of jar used for canning. It has been around for a long time (1858, according to one source) but recently has seen a resurgence as people have realized how practical, easy and cheap they are.
You can use them in many different ways, but for the purpose of this post, we are looking at recipes that you can easily make in a Mason Jar. The idea is that you have a recipe that can be individualized and put into the Mason Jar. Then it can be easily held, transported, and stored!
What If I Don’t Have A Mason Jar?
You don’t need an actual Mason Jar to make these recipes- any jar will do! You can buy glass jars at the store or repurpose old glass jars from other food items. Tomato sauce jars, jelly jars, pickle jars- you can use any and all of them if you wash them really well.
