The historical fiction series is based on the books by Diana Gabaldon and follows the main character, Claire, as she travels back in time to the 1600s in Scotland. The later seasons even end up with the main characters traveling to the United States and settling in the mountains of North Carolina close to the time of the Revolutionary War! The viewer is warned that there are some rather steamy scenes. It’s perfect for a truly romantic date night!
Friday Night Lights
Fall nights and Football can’t get any better for an at-home date night! The nonfiction book by H.G. Bissinger inspired the TV series and follows the rise of a high school football team in Odessa, Texas. The series delves into the story of the coach and his family, as well as many of the lives of the star players on the team.
