8 Things To Get Rid of in the Next 8 Days

Are you at a stage in your life where it’s time to start decluttering and streamlining your home? In this day and age, it’s really easy to accumulate things that we don’t need or things that, instead of serving us, end up gathering dust. Here is a list of 8 things to get rid of in the next 8 days.

Chipped Mugs

Besides the fact that chipped mugs don’t look very nice, they also have the potential to cut your lip when you take a sip from them. And if you don’t want to use a chipped mug for your guests, then they don’t belong in your cupboards either.

Souvenir T-Shirts

It’s easy to clog up our cupboards with souvenir t-shirts from all the stunning locations we’ve traveled to, but we don’t need 20 of them. If you have too many of these guys in your cupboard, then perhaps it’s time to scale down to only owning a handful.

Opened and Unused Speciality Foods

Perhaps you have a bottle of specialty sauce from a different region of the world in your fridge that you’ve only tried once. It’s been staying dormant in the back of your fridge ever since the first time you’ve tried it. If this sounds like you, then maybe it’s time to consider if you’re going to be using this condiment ever again or if it’s better to just throw it in the trash.

Old Intimates and Socks

Stocking with ladders or socks with holes in them is better off in the trash instead of cluttering up your cupboards.

Cardboard Boxes

Unless you plan on moving in the next couple of months, there is no good reason to hang on to old cardboard boxes.

Books

If your library is getting clogged up with books that you’ve already finished reading and books that you haven’t gotten around to in the last couple of years, then maybe it’s time to tackle this part of your home.

You don’t need to keep the books that you’ve already read if you know you won’t be reading them again soon. And you’re probably not going to be reading unread books if you haven’t done so in the past couple of years.

Old Toys

The first step to reducing the mess your kids make every time they play is cutting down the number of toys your kids have. If you’ve noticed that they have any sort of toys that they haven’t played with in a very long while, then it’s time to give those toys the boot.

Unused Bath Bombs and Salts

If you are the type of person who rarely baths, yet you have a heap of bath bombs and salts piled up in your bathroom, then perhaps it’s time to let go of these. You will probably not get around to using them in the next couple of years if you prefer showering, so really, these things are just gathering dust and taking up unnecessary space in your bathroom.
