Everybody has a list of essentials that they need to get through everyday life. Whether it’s food or toilet paper, you can’t go without these things. There are, however, several things that frugal people would never dare to buy (at least the genuinely frugal people) because these essentials are simply not worth the price, or they aren’t considered essentials for these penny-pinching folks.
Paper towels are a standard item in most kitchens, but frugal people have a cheaper alternative. Instead of regularly buying these disposable items, frugal folks have reusable and washable wiping cloths that don’t need to be replaced ever so often.
Most people know that baby food can be not only costly but can also create a lot of waste. For every baby meal that gets consumed, there is one jar or package left behind. Making baby food from scratch is not only easy to do but for frugal people, it’s also a great way to save some extra coin.
Another essential that frugal people never spend money on is bottled water. Why would they buy bottled water when tap water is safe to drink and costs next to nothing? They would rather invest in a reusable stainless steel water container that can be filled with water when needed.
