Biden Under Fire for Claiming People Are “Thrown Out of a Restaurant for Being Gay”

At the celebration of the passing of The Respect for Marriage Act, Biden implied in a speech that Americans being kicked out of restaurants for being gay is a normal occurrence in 2022. His comments have led to questions and criticism on social media.

Twitter Reacts

The Respect for Marriage Act passed both chambers of Congress with bipartisan support. At the event, Biden made the comment, “When a person can be married in the morning and thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, this is still wrong.” He quickly drew criticism from Twitter users, who claim that people are not, in fact, kicked out of restaurants for being gay.

Jesse Kelly seemed to call Biden a communist in his tweet, saying that “most of them” live in a world of make-believe.

He added that the only people he believes are being kicked out of restaurants are Christians and unvaccinated individuals.

Gerry Callahan thinks Biden should be more focused on our Southern border than “made-up gay people.”

Adam Ford implies that if you believe Biden’s claims about gay people being thrown out of restaurants, you are a “brainwashed ideologue.”

Keith Ainsworth wants to know where Joe Biden is eating that he believes gay people are being kicked out of.

Dana Loesch reinforced the notion that while gay people aren’t being thrown out of restaurants, there are others that have been.
