Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being mocked on Twitter for her reaction to Representative Ronny Jackson’s tweet that he will never give up his gas stove.
A Humorous Exchange
In Jackson’s original tweet, he claimed, “I’ll NEVER give up my gas stove. If the maniacs in the White House come for my stove, they can pry it from my cold dead hands. COME AND TAKE IT!!”

AOC obviously found this answer unsatisfactory because she responded, “Did you know that ongoing exposure to NO2 from gas stoves is linked to reduced cognitive performance?”

Jackson’s tweet came after the commissioner for the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that it would be considering banning gas stoves to be more environmentally friendly.
AOC is all for the ban, saying, “The way we are handling it in NYC isn’t to force people to switch what they already have. Folks can keep their appliances, and new buildings in NYC will have gas-free stoves. As for federally, any proposal from the CPSC would go through a quite lengthy review and input process.”
Twitter Reacts
Government officials and Twitter users alike all had something to say about AOC’s brain damage claim.
FACT: AOC is the dumbest member of Congress… ever

Let’s be fair, if anybody knows about brain damage it is definitely @AOC

Crazy! Just like ongoing exposure to Washington is linked to reduce cognitive performance, which you demonstrate daily.

Did you snort it directly off the stove as a kid? That would explain some things

Interesting, I didn’t know everything in the White House ran off gas.
